Musical Theatre Summer Camp (Aug 9-13 PM)


Target ages: Elementary and Middle School
Students will be immersed in fun and enrichment in this full theatrical experience taught by various instructors.
Drama: Students will learn to effectively use tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language to create unique character. They will learn to tap into their rapid thinking skills through improvisation and how to perform monologue and dialogue.
Audition preparation: Practical tips will be given on acting and singing
for your audition. Students will practice vocal and drama auditions
in this class and receive honest critiques for improvement.
Vocal: The human voice is an instrument that relies on proven methods
for improvement. Learn how to sing with diaphragm exercises and the mechanics of proper singing. Learn the adjustments that can improve your singing significantly.
Acting/Character Development: Actors have two methods of portraying a character: with voice and body mechanics. Learn how to adjust your tone, facial expressions, and body gestures to make a character “more believable”. Bring a light snack
