Visual Arts Department Receives Grants For Two Great Events
Thursday, July 1st, 2010Our Visual Arts Department has some exciting news! Due to a series of grant money, we will be able to bring two exciting visual arts events to the Southeastern WI area.
Our Midwest photographic arts event SATURATION received a generous grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fund.
ARTIST IN MOTION, held at the Bayshore Town Center throughout the summer is supported in part by a grant from the WI ARTS BOARD with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
North Shore Academy of the Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves all ages in the visual, literary, and performing arts. We are an affiliate member of the United Performing Arts Fund and have been serving southeast WI for a decade.
Groundbreaking has begun! Grand Opening set for July 21!
Friday, June 18th, 2010NSAA Collaborates Yet Another Summer with Bayshore Town Center
Wednesday, June 16th, 2010Communities that embrace the arts are known to experience quality of life. This is why North Shore Academy of the Arts (NSAA) has been honored to have collaborated with Bayshore Town Center for several years now. This has been JUST ONE of the exciting collaborations that has been a “win/win” for the arts, business, and community!
Throughout the past several years, we have provided exciting performing arts venues such as “Broadway at Bayshore”. Our Visual Arts Department has been involved with beautifying the outdoor courtyard and fountain space with our “Table for Two” restoration project. We have been fully engaged in the Bayshore Town Center Chalk Festival, provided creative window displays for stores, and have provided summer weekly workshops for “Square Kids”. Many of the Bayshore guests especially enjoyed our “Artists in Motion” weekly visiting artist workshops.
This summer, you will find visually stimulating benches and tables created by some of our most notable artists. And every Tuesday from 11:30 to 1:30, bring the kids to the food court area for “Square Kids” FREE ART PROJECTS provided by NSAA and more! Also stop and say “hi” at this year’s Bayshore Town Center Chalk Festival August 21!
We DID IT! BREAKING GROUND on 6/21!
Tuesday, May 25th, 2010Dear Friends,
We are overjoyed to share with you some amazing news today:
We have REACHED our fundraising goal for the Outdoor Classroom in memory of Felix!
The brick pavers sale was a huge success, big thanks to all who purchased bricks! Thank you to all donors who embraced this special project by donating their time, treasure and talents. We could not have done it without you! Special thank you to Dave Cavil who generously rose to the occasion and closed the funding gap.
Weather permitting, we’ll be breaking ground June 21st. We look forward to seeing you all at the Grand Opening early summer. I’ll keep you posted on the date and time for the opening ceremony.
THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Urszula Cholewinska

NSAA Launches “Buy-a-Brick, Build-a-Classroom” to build OUTDOOR ART STUDIO
Friday, April 23rd, 2010We are only weeks away from the first shovel hitting the ground for our Outdoor Classroom in Memory of Felix Boller!
In the past several months thanks to the kind generosity of many individuals and organizations we have raised over $6,000 in cash and materials. We are getting closer to reaching our goal of $8,750. Thank you!!!
We invite YOU to make your mark on this project by helping us raise the remaining funds through purchasing a brick (three sizes available: $50, $100, or $300) which can be engraved with the wording of your choice – making your personal mark – forever. The bricks will be permanently installed in the brick patio area. Buy a brick for yourself, your family or your company, give it as a gift or use it to honor a loved one.
