Catering the Arts to Your Location

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Perhaps you may not know that North Shore Academy of the Arts (NSAA) expands far beyond the reach of our Grafton facility.  Our instructors have been traveling to other cities for quite some time to bring PREMIER ARTS ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING in the visual, performing and literary arts.

NSAA has brought fine visual and performing arts programming to Bayshore Town Center in Bayshore.  Our Stagekids directors have been traveling to the Hartford Schauer Center for several seasons putting on high quality productions.  Our instructors have taught music and drama in Pre-K facilities in Mequon and Germantown.   Our performers have performed in Cedarburg, Mequon and Bayshore for various key events.  We have gone into public  schools to present assemblies and have fulfilled the need for arts enrichment in a private Milwaukee high school.   We have worked with Nicolet and Homestead high schools.

With the 10 year anniversary of NSAA, we expect to continue expanding to fulfill the need for high quality arts programming in Wisconsin.  We are excited to launch our 2010-11 season.  If you would like for us to join you at your facility, in your community, on site at your location please email info@northshoreacademyofthearts.org  attn: Sheri or Paula to discuss your specific arts needs.  For more on CATERING THE ARTS grab a brochure!

NSAA Collaborates Yet Another Summer with Bayshore Town Center

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Communities that embrace the arts are known to experience quality of life. This is why North Shore Academy of the Arts (NSAA) has been honored to have collaborated with Bayshore Town Center for several years now.  This has been JUST ONE of the exciting collaborations that has been a “win/win” for the arts, business, and community!

Throughout the past several years, we have provided exciting performing arts venues such as “Broadway at Bayshore”.   Our Visual Arts Department has been involved with beautifying the outdoor courtyard and fountain space with our “Table for Two” restoration project.  We have been fully engaged in the Bayshore Town Center Chalk Festival, provided creative window displays for stores, and have provided summer weekly workshops for “Square Kids”.  Many of the Bayshore guests especially enjoyed our “Artists in Motion” weekly visiting artist workshops.

This summer, you will find visually stimulating benches and tables created by some of our most notable artists.  And every Tuesday from 11:30 to 1:30, bring the kids to the food court area for “Square Kids” FREE ART PROJECTS provided by NSAA and more!  Also stop and say “hi” at this year’s Bayshore Town Center Chalk Festival August 21!

Local Artist to be Featured at 3rd Annual NSAA Showcase

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

NSAA is proud to introduce the works of Tracy Tamel Heerhold at our 3rd Annual Showcase!  Please join us for this great networking event!

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

The combination of photography and digital painting allows Tracy Heerhold to not only preserve a moment in time, but also to enhance those moments with a creative vision as well.

Tracy’s love of photography stems from her interest in a variety of subjects including rural landscapes, seasonal conditions, travel and historic architecture. Whenever possible, Tracy enjoys the thrill of taking photos of the same locations in different seasons to fully appreciate them throughout the year.

Tracy lives in Jackson, WI and has been involved in digital art and photography for a number of years.  She always looks forward to the next opportunity she will have to capture a moment in time.

Tracy is a member of the Cedarburg Artist Guild and currently has work on display at locations in Cedarburg, West Bend and Hartland, Wisconsin.  She also had her first solo show at Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London, WI from December 5th 2009 through February, 2010. Prior locations for her work also included the Center for Visual Arts, a juried gallery and shop as well as Evolutions in Design, both in Wausau, Wisconsin.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTWORK:

Tracy’s artwork combines both photography and digital painting, which is essentially painting by using software on a computer.  Tracy uses the digital painting component to fully achieve a vision that she has in mind upon noticing and experiencing a subject through a camera lens.
